Christmas at the Olsens of Enoch

Just wanted to send our front yard photo. Fun eh? All the lights are now gone, disappeared on NY day. For some reason I did not want the Christmas season to end this year. It may be partly because I am so busy as RS President that people gave me a reprieve for the most part over the holidays. If I am honest, I think that would be it. I am getting too old for this job. For those who do not know what a RS (Relief Society) President is, well, in our church we have different areas that make up the congregation. In each of these areas they have leadership people that look out for the welfare of the church members, and non LDS members, and in this case, I am the "chosen one". LOL - Seriously, it is a big job and I have the responsibility of the welfare of over 100 women and their families, that keeps me hopping. Especially in these difficult times of job loss, economic downfall, people losing their homes etc., I find I go non-stop for the most part. Anyway, it keeps me out of trouble, or maybe not - maybe I get into more trouble doing it. Who the heck knows? Anyway, I loved this Christmas season and seriously did not want it to end. So therefore, I am declaring 2009 totally to be Christmas and so therefore, put up the lights, turn on the music, pour the punch and get out the goodies, we are on a roll for 2009!! Hope you all have a great Sunday and for you Aussies that already enjoyed Sunday, happy Monday!

Hi, Maureen. I'll try this again.
I love the idea of Christmas all year, as it's my favorite time as well. We got to sneak away to Blanding, Sunday afternoon and Monday to enroll one of our converts in school there. It has been exciting to see him progress in the gospel. Sounds like you're really busy with your calling, but you'll do great.
