This past year on July 4th, we met up with Kirby, Tammy, Haley, Brennen, Nathan, Natalie, Sydnee and Abigail in Blanding. It was a fun time and as you can see in the picture, we enjoyed some great fireworks. In fact, they put Cedar City to shame at the size and number of fireworks they entertained us with.
Just a little taste of what our "total" Family Reunion will be like in 2010. To even have some of the family there was great. We, dad and I, are truly looking forward to all 23 (or more if any new babes decide to "pop out" between now and then), of us being here for the reunion.
Well this week has been crazy once again. Dad/Stephen actually finished painting the basement I think last week, and this week, other than his work days, he has been cleaning up all the spills etc down stairs. Next we will complete the bathroom by doing the floor and installing the toilet and washstand and basin. It is going to be so pretty in there. He picked a real nice paint that is a light color and just picks up the light down there. He has installed all the light fixtures as well. We need to decide on colours of carpeting. I do have some colours in mind but we need to go down and look at the carpet store. It certainly is going to be great and dad deserves one heck of a pat on the back I would say for all the hard work he has done.
We are going to see a movie tonight with Renee Zellwegger, "New in Town". It looks funny and I am looking forward to a good laugh. She is one of my favorite actresses so hopefully she won't dissapoint.
I have to tell you it has been exciting on Facebook. I have joined a goup called "You can tell you are from Broken Hill if...". I have seen familiar names of people I have known when I grew up down there, so have written to many. So far I have hooked up, or obtained information on old friends. Some have died, and others have moved from BH, and others have experienced sad lives. But mostly it is with the grand children of my friends that I am connecting with, and what a wonderful experience it has been and hopefully will continue to be. I noticed a person on there who was related I thought to Uncle Laurie. So I face booked her and sure enough it was Uncle Laurie's second cousin. I use to hang out with this girls father when I was growing up. Small world and I just love Facebook so that I can have the experience of connecting to the past like I am presently. It keeps me busy on the computer that is for sure, but this is the season of my life I can do that, so what a great way to spend a day when I feel stressed out with Relief Society stuff. It really perks me up, even hearing sad things is still a way of catching up and knowing what has happened to everyone, or at least part.
That has been my week and if I do not stop right here, then hubby dear will be wanting to know how much I really want to see the movie - do I or don't I. Well I do!! So cheerio for now and chat again later.

your going to the movie with Renee Zellwieger. Wow, what is she doing in Cedar CIty?
Say what? Oh yes, I can see how you got that idea. I need to read my comments eh? Actually, she was there, not in person, just in the pictures - darn - that would be fun. But I do not think she is much fun do you? I think she seems boring in real life. But not in this movie.
The movie was great by the way!
Just got back into your blog, and I must say you have made significant progress since I read it the first time. Hey, you're even uploading pictures, and posing in them too! You must take after Natalie!
You get an "A" for 'voice' in your writing. It makes it so fun to read. Keep up the good work.
