I am adding some photo's this week to give a little history of Australia, starting with Sydney. I wanted to show some photos of the Bridge, City and Opera House. An interesting bit of trivia that I will ask in one of my questions that I like to do is, how many rooms are in the Sydney Opera House? The answer will astound you as it did Jonathan and I as we toured through it. It was not open to the public until I believe 1973, and when I flew to the USA in December 1968, I saw it as the pilot gave us a little wave goodbye to the bridge and an update on the Opera House. So here you go and hope you enjoy whatever pictures I decide to post. Mumma Maureen

There are nearly 1000 rooms in the Opera House including the five main auditoria. There is also a Reception Hall, five rehearsal studios, four restaurants, six theatre bars, extensive foyer and lounge areas, sixty dressing rooms and suites, library, an artists' lounge and canteen known as the "Green Room", administrative offices and extensive plant and machinery areas.
I love the internet- you can find anything on here.
Wow Nat - you rule - fancy that - I meant it to be a quiz you little cheater!! hehehe
I know, but I have a such a curious mind. When I want to know something I want to know it right then. That is why I love the internet
OK - let me ask you this. If you did not have a "curious" mind, what would you truthfully have guessed how many rooms?
